Blue Heron, the Las Vegas-based design-build firm that specializes in custom homes and boutique communities, announced Jan. 29 the launch of a new community coming to the Henderson area.

Dragon Rock will sit beside one of Henderson’s most luxurious and private communities, Dragon Ridge, in the MacDonald Highlands with 50 lots already available.

The firm says that Dragon Rock will emulate CEO Tyler Jones’ “Vegas Modern” approach to design.

“As we bring our Vegas Modern philosophy to new homeowners, we’re not just building their homes; we’re introducing a new, harmonious and energy-focused way of life to our residents, bringing more balance to the spaces they inhabit every day,” Jones said.

Dragon Rock will offer five of Blue Heron’s most popular and most-requested floor plans.

A model home will be available at Dragon Rock for homebuyers to view. Construction on the model begins in the spring.

Blue Heron says that it is looking to take full advantage of the positive housing trend in the LasVegas area, implementing a 2020 Vision that looks to offer buyers with the means to invest in higher-priced properties impeccably designed luxury homes.

Currently, the firm has three other communities around the valley with plans to expand this year to La Jolla, California. Obsidian at the foot of Black Mountain is a double-gated community of 33 homes, which start at $1.8 million.

Vantage at Lake Las Vegas will soon be finished and holds 37 unique homes with starting in the high $800,000s. The model home for the community will open in late spring or early summer of 2020.

The Bluffs is a private community overlooking the valley with 39 Mediterranean Modern homes, 85 percent of which have sold. Three are still available with prices starting at $1.5 million.
